Saturday, April 3

My out-of-town company comes again tonight and she, plus the holiday, will keep me off the computer as much as I ordinarily am. I hope that each of you have a wonderful weekend, and celebrate this Easter Holiday well. (assuming you do, of course). If not, have a good Passover, or whatever your holiday.

Last weekend we went out to eat with our daughter's family, to celebrate her older son's sixteenth birthday. The restaurant was in Fayetteville, NC, called Hibachi Buffet. I could swear that there were 500 people there, and 100 of them were waiting for a table. Because our group numbered eleven, we had to wait a while. The food was plentiful; in fact, my son-in-law and I discussed the sheer volume of food that must pass through there every day - and the amount of waste - which appears to be excessive. It was edible, and that's about all I can say in its favor. My fortune cookie yielded this advice, which is good at any time:

"Don't be pushed by your problems. Be led by your dreams."

Happy Easter!
Do you have the booking system in America? When we eat out with the family at night we have to book to be sure of getting a table.

Hi Judy,

We have crossed paths in the past (When you were in Norfolk,we were in Hampton.) It's happened again.

We were in Fayetteville last Saturday night, too on our way home from Florida.

Wouldn't it have been funny if we were in the same restaurant? I think I would have known you from your facebook picture....

Happy Easter!

I agree that buffet-style meals can be very wasteful. 1) People take more food than they will eat because it doesn't cost extra. 2) Those who eat very little (and take very little) subsidize those who eat huge amounts.
