I know several positively negative folks. I talked to one today who looked and sounded like she'd been sucking a lemon all morning. After a few hours with real friends, I find my blog friends very comforting!
It becomes a dreadful habit I'm afraid. Are you old enough to remember the song we sang in wartime?
You have to accentuate the positive, Eliminate the negative. Latch on to the affirmative , Don't mess with Mr In-between. To illustrate my last remark, Jonah and the whale - Noah and the Ark. What did they do just when everything looked so dark? Man they said you gotta...
I tend to be the negative and my husband is the postive. We make a good team and god bless him for his postive outlook because he helps me thru all lifes bumps and craters :)
LOL,...I saw that in The New Yorker..right? It is interesting about the cartoons in The New Yorker.--to me, I either don't understand most of them OR, I don't find them really funny. And I use to so look forward to those cartoons. Is it me? I mean, it certainly could be....But I remember thinking that this one that you shared IS Funny!
The deep purple of the campanula looks so velvety. It's a lovely color that surely brightened the day of your neighbor. The green pot is a perfect color to show it off.

It sounds better sung - maybe on you tube.
I can't stand "Captain Bringdowns" - what I call negative people!
Uh-oh, I think that must be me too!

I am sarcastic and sometimes snarky but I hope not negative
I love to make people laugh, as well as shock people at times

I try to be positive, but some days it's harder than others.
