I like all of these cartoons, but the one I really meant to show you is on the bottom left. Ever feel like that? I told our friend and handyman extraordinaire Biff this morning that if he heard on the news that I'd been arrested for murder, he'd know why. Mr. kenju has been in fine form since I "cheated" him out of dessert last night.

We had Belgian waffles with blueberries for dinner and then I went upstairs to check email. Mr. kenju hollered up the stairs, asking for some of the chocolate-covered peanut clusters I bought at the grocery on Tuesday. I was in the middle of making a move in a Lexulous game (Scrabbl*) on Facebook, and I replied that I'd be down in ten minutes.

Well, I'm sure you ALL know how easy it is to get completely involved while you are blogging or playing on Facebook, don't you? A short time later, I heard the bedroom door slam very loudly, and after looking at the clock and seeing that it was fifteen minutes later (not ten), I ran down the hall to apologize and tell him that I'd be right up with his dessert.

(Never mind that his waffles were literally swimming in syrup - which ought to be sweets enough for the day, don't you think??)

He appeared to have several internal volcanoes erupting and very loudly told me to leave the bedroom and shut up trying to explain. He thought that I had not brought forth the coveted dessert because "he shouldn't have it" and said "who are you to make that decision?"

I didn't say or think that at all - at least not last night. I simply got all entranced in FB and didn't make note of the time. So, cut to this morning, when I got up and got on the computer, as I do every morning. He called up the stairs...."Would you like some coffee?" and I (laughing quietly) said "If you feel like bringing it up - yes."

His answer was - you guessed it - "I'll be up in ten minutes."

A short time later, Biff arrived and we were still going at it. I think it's a real blessing that I don't have a gun, otherwise I might be in jail for a long, long time.

You need to train that boy properly. Mine is my cabana boy, and likes it!

Eek! Been there, done that! Except not much hollering, more sulky quiet!

Rows that erupt over a misunderstanding are infuriating because usually one is too cross to explain. Another reason to avoid Face Book for me.
Have a nice week-end:)

Now, now, Judy. We all have our bad days.

We didn't have those problems.... but then we didn't have a computer either!

Loved the cartoons and stole them to email on to friends.

I know it's not really funny, but I tend to giggle when I read your 'fights'.

It reminds me of my Grams and Gramps Irish. For what it's worth, that's a compliment.

LOL, LOL....I know what you mean Judy....Not about being angry at a Husband, but being angry enough to shoot someone...! My old Neighbors used to rent out their house for 4 months or so in the Spring and Summer months to these Rock Groups! Rehearsals went on in their Living Room ALL through the night into the wee hours of the A.M.--Like till 7AM....The Boom, Boom, Boom, almost drove me crazy and at the time I said...It's a good thing I don't own a gun....! I'd have been in jail, along with you, my dear....LOL!

I have learned the difficult art of compromise. If someone is doing something else, and me being waited on is not the answer. I will get it myself. But thats why I'm single. I can get it done myself. Sharing and compromise are skills that should be in every marriage. It keeps the house civil and the spouse happy. Being angry or upset about what may or may not have happened can escalate to juvenile responses of anger and pouting, not responses I particularly entertain because of the person I am. I have a lot more important things to get mad about but we won't go down that laundry list. Give it time and let cooler heads prevail. Besides if we got along on every issue, we would be very boring people.

A great philosopher once noted:

The weight of a small matter is but just a speck of the issue that lends to anger. Anger is just one emotion that is released when the scales become unbalanced. Don't let small things start adding up.

Hang in there darlin, sometime men just like to storm because they can.

What I forgot to say in the post is that mr. kenju is inordinately fond of sweets, and since he is not supposed to have many of them, I have to keep them hidden. If he could have gotten them himself - he would have - and likely eaten all!!

Ah the dynamics of marriage. Yes, that cartoon you liked was my favorite as well. I've often been glad that we don't have a gun in the house!

Oh! How well I can relate. I'd always thought caregiving involved fluffing up the pillows, but it does get down and dirty like this, and makes you angry instead of letting you feel noble. Hang in there!

Too funny, and too true. I can blog til the cows come home about all Dee's great qualities. But he has at least as many weirdnesses that would be much more entertaining.

Ah yes. We've all had days like that.

It's nice to read others' posts like this sometimes because I don't feel so out there and alone, like I'm the only one who goes thru things like this. Most times when I blog about my household woes, peeps dont respond. Makes me think their lives/marriages must be perfect, or they're lying to themselves, lol!

Gee, I'd still be waiting... I learned long ago to get up and get it myself. Funny comics and this evening--believe it or not--I'm hear from Tanya's... I haven't been there in over a month and it's gotten pretty slow.

I figured he was supposed to limit sweets--me too :( ...its those darn triglycerides and the glucose number that I have to watch out for. But like Mr. Kenju, I still love some sweets! It doesn't make it any easier to know that SOMEBODY has sweets hidden in the house though! Happens here all the time and I will search for an hour sometimes to find the stash LOL

I'd say everything in moderation is fine unless your diet really does prohibit it (food allergies, diabetes, etc)...same goes for the litte spats...is fine in moderation (and quite normal I would say in a marriage of so many years)!

By now or tomorrow all that will have been forgotten (hopefully)!

I usually don't put any weight in anything regarding a Horoscope reading but I find this very strange that I did not read this until a few minutes ago.

This is a day that will test your peacemaking skills, Libra. You will probably find yourself in a situation where you can see both sides of the problem and try to find a way to satisfy both. You may be directly involved in a situation stemming from a misunderstanding or lack of knowledge, and work to bring things into perspective. There may be a discussion concerning religion or philosophy that you mediate in some way, and let's hope that's the way it works. However things work out, you are likely to settle matters in the best interests of all concerned.

Weird, ain't it...
