Quotes + Thunderstorms

Cowardice asks the question, 'Is it safe?'
Expediency asks the question, 'Is it politic?'
Vanity asks the question, 'Is it popular?'
But, conscience asks the question, 'Is it right?'
And there comes a time when one must take a
position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor
popular but one must take it because one's
conscience tells one that it is right.

Martin Luther King, Jr.

A child's education should begin at least one hundred years before he is born.

We've had lots of storms and rolling thunder nearly all afternoon, so I had to turn off the computer. It took me almost 45 minutes to get it going again and I am so frustrated! After running C-cleaner, it is somewhat faster, but I don't know how long that will last. According to the weatherman, we are in for more storms tonight, so I'm cutting this short just in case I have to turn off the computer again. Catch you tomorrow.

We had some really huge storms Friday and almost an inch of rain. I heard the rumble almost constant in nature but still far off and I started with my camera. I have trouble with lightning but I kept on until it felt just a little too close. Out of about 1000, rapid fire pictures... I ended up with 5 good lightning shots. And a dead battery.

We have a soft rain tonight... what we need.

I LOVE that quote of NLK! It is really a great one and more and more we need to do exactly what he said.
The Rains just don't let up, do they? I hope you are able to get your Computer going again, my dear, when the weather calms down--if ever! (lol)

I too liked MLK.
I hear rumblings right now so I will also be shutting down as we are expecting some hefty storms. Keep you head down.

My computer went phut in a storm and when it was repaired I was advised to get a something (circuit? breaker. I still tend to switch off if there is a bad storm.

I also like that first quote very much. Something that should be on the door of every Congressman/woman.

It is so good to be reminded of what real eloquence and thoughtfulness sounds like. Beautiful quotes.

Good luck with those thunderstorms.

What's up with wearing socks in July?!

Great quote.

MLK's quote contains words and feelings to live by. Timely too given the encountered "storm" felt on the weekend.

We had a good storm come through yesterday. It poured and poured. I love those storms with thunder and lightning ONLY if I'm home and don't have to go out in it.
