The Lemon Festival

A friend sent me these photos in email. They are from the famous Menton Lemon Festival. Enjoy!

As you can see from the people in the photo, these buildings made of citrus fruits are not exactly minature copies. I marvel at the skills it takes to construct these!

A lemon girl with an orange cape.

A sweet-smelling cottage.

A tribute to India.

An orange Taj Mahal?

I was in Menton once and saw some of this. That was in 1972. It wasn't quite so grand than as I remember. I'm in the process of scanning my slides from long ago. I'll have to find mine from there.

I agree with Tabor, that smell has to be lovely.

Judy, how do you find time to search the internet for these wonderful pictures and stories, then post a comment on all your friend's sites, then take care of Mr. Kenju, then go to work? I don't even think getting high speed will allow me to do that much. There must be two of you!

Annie: I don't search for them - people send them to me. Mr. kenju would say I don't "take care" of him, and I am not working right now - so I have more time than usual.
