Thematic Photographic +

For Carmi's thematic photographic this week - the theme is "bright". This is one of the trees on the grounds of the NC Governor's Mansion.

Some of my art:

Painted by yours truly in 1962; art class projects. Don't ask me what they mean because I have no idea. It was just something I had to do. The green one reminds me of a beluga whale (with a mis-placed fin) diving down into a blue-green sea. What do you see?

Your artwork is impressive! I love your bright photo. I took some pictures the other night downtown, but I haven't downloaded them yet. I don't think they came out too bright, though.

Your thematic photo is wonderful! Your paintings are lovely too. I would have to study them a while to decide what I see, but I find them very pleasant to look at. Love the colors.

I too see a whale. The other one looks like a child's puzzle pieces that have yet to be put together.

The green one like one of those pictures wher if you look at it just the right way and squint enough you'll see the special image.
I could spend days finding different things in it!

Your photo is gorgeous too!

Hmmmm, I just like the blue/green one because it is soothing, like the deep blue/green of the sea.

Beautiful!

I see a field of tall grass in the wind... green waves...

Thanks for sharing your gift,

Love your colors. I have always wanted to try painting. Maybe it will still happen. I love the first one and see the ocean and a whale also.

That tree looks like it's caught all the stars from the sky in it's branches.

The green picture instantly looked like a manatee to me to I smiled when I read your interpretation :)

I like taking lots of time to absorb a piece of art and let my mind wander through what it may or may not be. These can both give me hours of such peaceful thoughts.

I'm thinking marine for the top one, but for some reason, I keep thinking of Atlantis and an undersea emperor sitting in a throne wrapped in a large sheet of seaweed.

Yeah, it's Monday :)

The tree is stupendous! I love how light transforms the landscape at this time of year.

What can I say? I'm an optimist! :)

Great paintings - that's not at all easy to do!
