SWEET!

Taken in Versailles, France in October 2006.....these eclairs were sweeter than sweet! I bought one, the green pistachio flavor, and ate it as we walked back to the train station. Oh, how I wished I had bought more than one!!

Another photo from the same bakery; confections for the eye, the taste and the soul! Sweet!

This post is part of Carmi's Thematic Photographic. Go see the others, and then please scroll down for Maxine's Thanksgiving!

Nobody does sweets like the French. It definitely rubbed off on Montrealers...growing up in that 'burg was a blessing in so many ways.

BTW, your brother-in-law sounds like a totally cool guy. Travels all the way from NJ...and he brings gifts from the bakery. I like him already :)

I'm always delighted when my French DIL takes back a jam and cream sponge from our local supermarket.

French pastries. Yum. Any pastries. Yum. As long as it's not Dunkin Donuts. Sorry to be a snob but...

Happy Thanksgiving, Judy!

Yeah, I'm starting to get tired of apple crisp. What we need in Floyd is a really good bakery!
