A Jungle, A Dirty Plate and Cat Soup!

I like that slogan, but I wish it said Queen! This was part of an invitation to a party that I did flowers for a long time ago. I always liked the artwork and so I kept it. I'm beginning to be glad I kept so much stuff, because it's great blog fodder! Now I can get rid of it, since it is immortalized here.....LOL.

Maybe this guy didn't want anyone to know what his license plate said. The dirt was there in such a way that even from 5 feet away, it was hard to decipher the letters and numbers.

Storm has taken to sleeping in this urn, so I put a towel in it for her. I think Eclipse is jealous and wants a new bed of her own! I placed the urn on that cabinet to keep her from using it as a jumping-off point to get onto my desk. She decided to use it to her advantage anyway.....a resourceful cat!

When we first moved here, there were cabinets over the bar separating the working part of the kitchen from the table area. If I was standing in the cooking section, I couldn't see anyone at the table, and that was unacceptable. We had the cabinets removed and brought them upstairs to my office. I intended to have them mounted on the wall, but that never happened, so I turned them upside down and use them to store office supplies. They also stand as a room divider here, so they do double duty. Reuse and recycle; that's my motto!

I love the re-use and recycle idea!

I love the blog fodder idea and then it can be tossed. I think I'm going looking for some oldies but goodies of my own.

My cats would all have to have their own pedestal and that would just about fill up the barn!

I think we will all be thinking more about reusing and recycling as the economy continues to be a concern. Frankly.....I don't think it will hurt us to be a bit more resourceful!

I love seeing the cute places cats will find to nap.

I love your photo of your cat. Have you been by Melange yet? Roxanne has a beautiful post to Miss Clover.

I've been reusing and recycling for years. My budget insists upon it! Storm looks so cute in her new bed!!! Leave it to a cat to find an elegant perch.

It looks like Storm has taken possession of the urn and claimed it for her/his own.

Judy,

I once had a cat named Oliver whose favorite place to sleep was in a clothes basket I had for the kids to put their dirty clothes in.

One day Oliver got up in a tall tree and was afraid to come down. The kids were all coaxing him with food and calling his name but he refused to budge.

After he was up there for a couple of hours we called the Fire Department and they came out to rescue him. Remember those good old days?

Oliver would not let the fireman near him and tried to climb even higher. Then one of my kids ran in the house and came out with the loaded dirty clothes basket. The fireman carried it up the ladder and held it up over his head and Oliver took a flying leap into his basket and the fireman lowered him to the kids....

What a celebration when all the kids carried him to the garage in his basket.

He was definitely the King that day.....

The kitty bowl is a crack-up.
I'm with you on the recycle thing, I do it because I just hate seeing all that stuff going to a landfill.

Is that true Judy? Once I have it on the blog I can ditch it?
No I know you don't mean precious things like old photos but maybe I can get rid of cuttings and the like.
Aren't cats extraordinary?

Good for Storm.
Recently when we kept our daughter's cat I had gone around and "cat proofed" the house. I have a large, heavy, oriental bowl on the sideboard in the dining room. I asked my granddaughter if I should move that and she said, No Lila won't get in it.

So where did I find Lila about 30 minutes after her family had left? In the oriental bowl and with her cute head peeking over the top. :) She looked pleased as punch with herself.
