On the Eve of My Birthday.....

Thoughts turn to my birth parents (circa 1942).

My birth father, who died in the 70's, after their 30th anniversary.

My birth mother; still living, age 85.

My birth mother shortly after I was born. It didn't take her long to regain her girlish figure, I see. At 17, I suppose it wouldn't.

My birth mother as a baby. Lord only knows why she was sitting on a bench in a junk yard. Her mother died when she was 22 months old. I don't know exactly how old she was here, but she and I shared baldness in our first two years. By the age of three, my hair was only about 4" long, but it was in ringlets, so it looked even shorter.

If you are looking for ways to increase the number of hits on your blog through g*ogle searches, I have a tip for you. Post something about "kissing balls". Now get your minds out of the gutter - I mean the kind of kissing balls used as wedding decor. They are more formally called pomanders. It seems that hundreds of people all over the planet are interested in learning about them, how they look, how to make them and ways they can be used. I'm telling you - your stats will jump!!

Dear Judy ~~ Happy Birthday for tomorrow. I hope you have a wonderful day and many happy returns. I was surprised to read you are thinking of selling your florist business, but I
guess you have been doing it a long time.
Take care, Love, Merle.

A very happy birthday Judy and may it be a good year for you and yours. Another Scorpio(I'm married to one)which is why I always feel close to you.
I wonder what you feel when you look at your birth parents. She was very young and without her mother to help her through.
Have a happy day.

In the picture of your birth mom (the portrait one right under your birth dad), I can really see the resemblance there. I've only seen one pic of my birth mom when she was younger - and it was after she had me and she was still super tiny.

I hope you have a great birthday tomorrow!

Yes, happy birthday, Judy Kenju. You deserve a good one. The pictures are great. Everyone was so slim in those days--no junk food like now. But eat up on your natal day.

Judy, I, too, was baldish until around 2, then my hair was red until it went to brown w/red highlights. I was the only redhead in the family so of course we always thought I was switched at birth, lol!

Your mom was very pretty and when I say that pic of your dad for some reason I thought of maybe a young Sam Waterston (McCoy on Law & Order) in the eyes and mouth.

Happy pre-Birthday sweetie!

I was going to write Happy Birthday in all caps, but didn't want to sound like the OxyClean guy. :) I hope it is happy and I really loved seeing your pictures. Your parents were beautiful.

Happy birthday, Judy. May it be the first of many more.

I didn't get a chance to see yesterday's post, but those bouquets are simply fabulous. I'm sure the bride was pleased.

When I was more flexible....about two weeks ago....I put the old family photos up high in the closet and now cant get to them. Honestly it's been closer to two years since I last looked through them. They make me so SAD, but the need to see them out distances the sadness.

I've got several ideas on getting search engine hits that I've tried in the past... with only marginal success... so I guess mentioning kissing balls couldn't hurt.

And you shoulda told me your birthday was tomorrow! I'd have baked a cake. (*rushes to find the store-bought kind*)

Happy birthday! Great photos. How strange that an unfortunate lewd coincidence brings the good fortune of extra hits. Woo hoo!

A very Happy Birthday Judy. So your birthday is one day before Halloween and mine is one day after!
Love the pics of your parents. Nice to see old photos. My little sister was also bald for 2 years. Now she has lots of hair (at age 51).
Enjoy tomorrow!
