The Last Rose(s) of Summer.....

live to brighten up the Autumn.

And new growth and promise we associate with Spring, is not only found then. Too bad it will almost certainly get nipped in the bud by the first frost. But for now, I am grateful for these beautiful blossoms.

Lovely photos of roses. Yes, I think the saying is quite correct, about motives.

I love the fall because it gives my roses a second wind. I get better and larger blossoms and the diseases seem to retreat for a while.

Just beautiful. I am also enjoying the last of my blooms - not roses (unfortunately) but dahlias and impatiens.
Lovely colour.

Roses are going crazy in bloom now - maybe the heat is too much in summer.

How locely that you have these very sweet blosoms right now, Judy....I LOVE Roses....!
One of the things that is so very wonderful about living in Southern Californi is that something is blooming all the time....Well, at least, in my Garden it is. Cactus and Succulents have aq different time clock....!

Beautiful roses! Mine have been sorely neglected this past summer, and yet, they have new buds on them.
