My Kid Went to England, and......

All I got was this tin of fruit drops from Harrod's and some photos!

The one above and below is the home of Henry the Eighth, I think.

There are my trees again!

The memorial to Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed, in Harrod's Dept. Store.

From Harrod's also.

I never tire of your England pics! I gasped in love when I saw the memorial. I had not heard about it.

My daughter went to Englnad too, and she got me a keychain from Harrods. It had a shooting star on it. I loved it and used it until it broke apart. I still have the pieces.

The "home of Henry the VIIIth" is indeed correct (as is at least one more below): Hampton Court, I'd recognize it anywhere --- a gorgeous palace on the river down near Richmond and Kingston. It's where Anne Boleyn was beheaded, and the story is that her ghost still walks one particular corridor....

One of my favourite touristy places to visit near London....

My grandma was in England when Diane and Charles got married. I don't think she was invited to the wedding, but she brought us home an official coffee cup celebrating the wedding. I never thought about it much, until the divorce. Then it took center place in my china cabinet. Now that she's dead, I still have it displayed, but wonder if that's the same as mocking the dead.

Great pics! I'm sure I'll never see all that in real life, but at least I can travel vicariously thru others. :-)

That palace is Hampton Court, not far from London. It's beautiful.

I, too, love your photos from England. Have you been there yourself? I visited in 1969 on my way to France for study. It was a wonderful expereience.

Pictures of home. Well, I don't live at Hampton Court but it's only a few hundred miles away.

Can you believe that my son is over there right now? He is on a three week business trip and should be returning tomorrow. If I thought he would get it before his flight, I would send him your post. I am hoping for some good photos, too.
