Well, Judy our family has the weekend all planned.

The kids and grandkids are all coming over and we're going to sit in the car in our driveway pretending we can afford to go somewhere....

I dreamt I was getting around on a bicycle last night. Maybe a premonition?

Hi Judy, the cost of motoring is a sad state of affairs alright.
Thank you for your prayers/good wishes, Vicki & family and myself have taken great comfort in the warmth you have offered.

Oh these are GREAT! I love the minds that think these wonderful things up....

Just today, my Mechanic brought my car back to me and I asked him to make sure I had a full tank of gas...(Even though I rarely drive anywhere anymore...) It was $30 for a quarter of a tank!!! So I guess Gas is cheaper where you are, right now, Judy....! It is ALL Outrageous isn't it?

Great comics. I miss Marlette! I paid $75 for a fill up this week--I may soon have to trade my truck for a Yugo. Judy, I'm here from Michele's this morning.

OMG... too true!!

The most I've paid recently was $3.69 for regular...ugh!!!!!!

I know the Europeans have no sympathy for us, because they've been paying through the nose for ages.

It's terrible here at the moment, gas works out at about $10 a UK gallon (having made MB snigger with my useless mental arithmetic!).

Not to mention increases in road tax etc.

I do love my car, but am getting the feeling of being held to ransom.

Michele sent me to say hello and how you doing, Judy?

I'm afraid Panthergirl is right, :) I just did some rough maths and we are paying about £1.09 for a litre, there are approx 4 lites to a US gallon, so that roughly works out at $9 a gallon. All i cna say si don't come over here and drive as you woulld have a heart attack if you filled the tank!LOL!

All of these are hysterically funny and deeply disturbing! I paid $52 to fill my tank the other day. I nearly died. I have a SMALL CAR. I am so thankful that I work close to home.

Gas is $1.20 a litre here. Gulp!

I am so happy I don't own a car. But, then, I wonder where else they're getting me.....

I put in $10 in my new Versa that claims to be decent on gas mileage. I got less than 3 gallons of gas. I do whatever to not drive my car. I just park it and move for street cleaning, here in NYC. I can't afford this on what I earn. And I really hate the counter argument that the rest of the world pays more than us, as if that is supposed to make it ok. Yes, a coworker actually said that to me for some kind of justification!

I am no longer laughing. Gas went up here ten cents overnight.

$45 to fill my tank (13 gallons out of a 15 gallon tank)... then $20 to top it off when I found a "cheap" station. Ouch!
