Something for everyone?

My kitchen, after wallpaper removal. I've been at it for 3 days, and I'm almost done. Next I have to choose the paint color, and since decisions are not my strong suit nowadays, wish me luck! I'm thinking celery green, or light sage.

My neighbor's roses, last summer. I thought you might need something to look forward to this summer!

A glasswing butterfly. I got this one in email. I've never seen a butterfly like that before.

One more old gas station. I wonder why they built it in the shape of a teapot? It is bedecked with Christmas lights, too.....LOL.

These last two are for Rosemary. I understand she loves violets. I found this one yesterday in my flower bed - or what passes for a flower bed around here. It is pitiful at the moment, but I hope to rectify that come spring.

Great job on the wallpaper removal. I vote on sage - I love that color! Be sure to take after pics. :-)

I think I would probably go for the sage too.

You've been hard at work removing that wallpaper, haven't you!

Judy, you have made me cry. Yes, I do love violets. It's a generational thing starting with my grandmother to my mother to me, my daughter and now my granddaughter. I love their softness, the deep color, the fragrance and how they are wild and take over everything....they have minds of their own...just like me. Thank you. you have given me a taste of spring. I vote for sage too.

I like sage for walls.

Good job! I've painted my dining room five times, and absolutely love the color it is right now. Benjamin Moore HC 98, Providence Olive. It's a deep sage green, I painted it last spring and I've liked it through every season. It's not too "greeney", it looks really pretty with flowers on the dining room table. Your wood tones are the same as mine so I think it would look good at your house too. Picking colors is a challenge but when you find one that works, it's wonderful.

Judy, I know you will have that dining room just as beautiful as the rest of your house (which I know from your photos!)

I LOVE al of these Judy....I am very partial to vases like that one in the next to last picture...!
And I have never seen a butterfly like that either!
Charming Tea Pot Gas station...I LOVE that...I swear if I saw that on the road I would go in and get gas even if I didn't really need a lot!

I'm tired just looking at those walls. Removing wallpaper can be exhausting. I can't wait to see what you do with the place.

Sage is my vote. I have a very similar color in my kitchen and absolutely love it.

Your kitchen is going to be gorgeous!! I love sage, but I have a rather wealthy set of friends who hired a decorator to do their house, and she choose a celery green in the guest bedrooms. It is just gorgeous.

Paint samples, 3x3 on the wall, of course will tell you all you need to know!

Hope we can see the "after" photos, too. Wallpaper removal is "not" for wimps! I've had to do it all over this house and I feel for you, having had to do it for 3 days. Hope your muscles aren't rebelling, LOL.

and I really love the butterfly pic as well. I've never seen one like that, either.

I love the idea of light sage - great choice.

the butterfly pic is amazing

Sage is good, so is celery, and what about pistachio? Funny they're all food names. Avocado might work as well. Just funning. Are you going to show pictures enroute?

Oh, yes, I'll share the photos in progress and after it's all done.

Wow!!!! That's an awful LOT of work.

Are ou putting only one color on the walls? Is there a chair rail in your future? Would you like help?

I love both sage and celeri green, the latter of which I have in my kitchen. But for what it's worth, I think you'd be better off with more of a sage green which might work better with the woodwork coloration.

Interesting little lineup today. Never seen a butterfly like that. What fascinating creatures. The teapot station is quite original. Funny what people come up with.

Love the doors! I usually go with a sage shade too. My only advice is talk to your painter or get 2 - 3 samples & paint on small areas first and look at it different times of day in both natural and artifical light for a few days. Some shades look blue in different light. Try to get one that isn't hued w/blue if you don't want blue tones coming through :)

ACE Paint offers 3 colors I really like: Greenbriar D28-4; Sunnybrook Farm D27-5; and Dried Thyme D26-5. We used Greenbriar in our stair foyer and upstairs hall, but it has a slight bluish hue in evening light. If I do over, I'll probably go w/Thyme. (You can see that color in last Christmas' posts on my blog, btw)

I love the warmth of sage. Of course, a celery color may be brighter and add more of a sunny, springy feeling to your kitchen.

Violet was my Gramillo's name.

I was looking at a bright green paint color that I love: Stem Green by Benjamin Moore.
