A stained glass box with a mirrored base. This was a gift.
My mother's Shaker boxes.
An old spool cabinet, which I use as a jewelry box. That's mr. kenju in the photo; at Miami South Beach, circa 1978.
Hat boxes; the two on the right are pretty old )1940's), but the ones on the left are from the 80's.
Red and gold metal.
A hand painted tin; meant to be a jewelry box. It was painted by the daughter of the first florist I ever worked for (1958).
A hat box. A friend was giving me some green frog dishes and she bought the hat box to pack them in. It looks great in my bedroom.
I'll post some more soon. I worked nine hours on Monday and today too, so I am headed to a hot bath and more Epsom Salts.

Those are great. I love the hat boxes.
I have only one hat box, but those sure are pretty. What is Epsom salt used for anyway?

Judy: what treasures! I'm green with envy - you lucky girl. I have done tomorrow's post early as we have a funeral tomorrow and told people to come over here if they want to see real flower arrangements, as opposed to my('stick it in a vase and hope for the best':)

That's not Mr. Kenju in that photo.
That must be MR. AMERICA !!!!!
I LOVE boxes, something about the mystery that may be inside maybe, but since I was a little girl I have always been drawn to boxes of all kinds lol, I have a few old trunks, one I use as a coffee table in my living room and another bigger one in the den, I should take pics of them one of these days. I also collected old tins of all kinds, all displayed ontop of my kitchen cabinettes. Thanks for sharing all these pics of yours.
Very cool!
