Beach Blanket Bingo

Is there really so little beach space in China? How in the world would you ever find your way back to your umbrella? And where - oh - where are the bathrooms?
*********
It was 76* here today, so that made me wish for the beach! I love having summer in February, even though I know it won't last! Mr. kenju and I got massages today. It was my first time with hot stones, and I surely hope it won't be the last. I told the therapist she could just bury me in them - it was that heavenly! Apparently I have stored up all the stress of the past seven months in my shoulders and back, and she attempted to release it. My body doesn't want to let go of it from the looks of it. I know it will take more than a few massages to get rid of it. It feels like she stirred up a hornet's nest, since my back started hurting even worse about 2 hours after we left her. I am going to take a hot bath with Epsom salts, so I'll see how that helps. Oh, I hope it helps! Wish me luck, please?

I can't imagine the beach like that. A few summers ago I visited a friend in Philadelphia, and she was going to visit her sister in Ocean City, New Jersey. I went along and didn't go down to the beach, but I understand it is very crowded, and you have to pay to go.

Our beaches aren't like that, but parking is becoming a problem, so I foresee having to pay for something in time to come.

My children gave me a half-day spa treatment, and I took advantage of it last week before our show. I had a massage, a facial, and a manicure. Quite nice. I really need to do massages more often. I have a lot of tension build up in my neck and shoulders, but it isn't from work. LOL

Judy,
After that massage and the hot rocks I hope you felt (and feel) like climbing trees.

The weather has been pretty nice out this way, too, although not as warm as all that.

A massage sounds like just the thing! Why didn't I think of that??

those pics give me super ginders. I'm in trouble in much of a crowd at all. You might as well shoot me now if I had to go there. I only like the beach in winter anyway.

All that stress is just moving out from where it was hiding. I hope you are feeling better today.

That beach looks like a nightmare - quite the opposite of realxing!

I hope the bath does the trick and your back feels better soon. I suspect you have an awful lot of stress stored in there so I hope it helps.

I thought about you the other day. I found a book on Amazon about unusual British names which had all been researched. Some of them were hilarious (and quite rude sounding)! It was called "Potty, Fartwell and Knob. From Luke Warm to Minty badger - Extraordinary Names of British People" and can be found here:

Enjoy!

oh no, Judy. You deserve a daily massage!
I wonder if you'll need to apply a cold compress after the heat has been applied, as sometimes the heat can actually make things worse hours later.
My hub was instructed to alternate hot and cold compresses to his back when it was messed up last year.

I'm not a medical professional, however, so take this with a grain of salt, Lol. Maybe ask the Dr. if that would work for you. Hope it feels better soon.

I've never had a massage, but I've thought about it.

with that many people in the water, your question about the bathroom has got me worried. :)

I need to try the hot stone massage treatment...

That beach looks like pure H----

Hope you feel better:)

Wow. I love the beach, but I don't think I would like THAT beach.

I'm not much of a massage person, but since I'm always cold, a hot stone massage really appeals to me. I hope your bath worked!

I think I've had a massage twice my whole life. since my neck feels really stiff lately maybe I should try it again.

those beach pics are something else.

I wouldn't go to the that beach if it was the last stretch of water meeting land. Good lord.

Sending you healing thoughts.

How much water did you drink after the massage?

My PT/MT reminds me every visit to 'drink plenty of water' after the massage. She strongly suggests upwards of a gallon.

I spend a lot of time in the bathroom after PT.

I swear by hot baths to buck me up. For one thing you have to stay still instead of rushing in and out of the shower. There's a lot to be said for a fragrant soak with candles.
The flickering light helps your mind to rest. Be kind to yourself Judy.
