Excuse me while I adore this photo. I think it is one of the best I have ever taken. The boy is very near and dear to my heart. I hope he will always be this adventuresome, but not foolhardy. This handsome, but not conceited.
When he was seven, he made this pop-up diorama for me. I'll bet you've never seen brown snowmen before.....LOL. His reasoning was that they would not "show up" against the white background if they were white too. For many years, I have carefully put this wonderful scene away after Christmas, hoping it will be safe for another year. Am I not a lucky grandma?

GREAT PICTURE, Judy! He is very very handsome...! And that "Sculpture" is so inventive! I understand ou being a very proud Grandma....!
That IS a fabulous picture - you should get it framed if you haven't already and I think it's great that you still have that snowman, I love his logic LOL!
(BTW - I tried to visit Maria but she doesn't appear to have a blog, or blogger was playing up, so I hope you don't mind me saying thanks for her visit here.)
beautiful tree, beautiful boy!
the snowmen scene - too precious for words. and such a loving grandma to value it so much. these are the best treasures, aren't they?
happy new year.
What a honey - and what a fantastic photo. Who wouldn't want to be a Grandma?
That is a beautiful photo! The contrast is great and the fact it was taken by an admiring grandma didn't hurt.
What are the odds of having such a perfect photo opportunity? Your handsome grandson is color coordinated with the tree. Good job catching that one.
He was brilliant at 7 to realize the snowman wouldn't have shown up white. It makes perfect sense.
Yes, grandparenthood is the best!
Aww, he is too cute, what a good picture!
Awesome photo! And he's pretty lucky to have you as well.
You should frame this photo! I clicked to enlarge it, what a good looking young man.
And I had to smile at the snowmen, I have a similar diorama from my daughter that I open up each Christmas, and pray that it lasts another year. Memories like that one are priceless. :)
You are a very lucky grandma!
I also treasure my home made gifts and display them each holiday.
he is a beautiful young man and the photo is a treasure. love the "chocolate" snowmen.
Very lucky indeed, Judy.
That's a great shot, no wonder it is one of your favorites! And he is such a talented a clever boy, congrats to his grandma ::wink::
Happy New Year, kenju, all best wishes for a fantastic 2008!
Great photo. Cute kid, too. I love the snowman diorama too. Inventive and creative and good looking? Look out, girls.
I enlarged that photo, and boy! He is handsome indeed! It's a great photo.
You are a lucky grandma.
Happy New Year.
That is a great picture, and great artwork too!
What a wonderful picture - full of the spirit of the young and the daring...
Oh, to have that innocence again!

Super photo of a superb young man.
Wonderful pictures and story. I was catching up...did you ever see the Saturday Night Live with Alex Baldwin and his Christmas Balls?
Looking at the pictures of your city makes me both homesick and glad I am not there afterall. I get jittery when we are back in Calif. in traffic, buildings everywhere and people on cell phones.
That is such a wonderful picture and I love the pop-up!
the picture and diorama are BOTH keepers.
Boys are awesome. ;)
That is a wonderful photo. Hop you frame it.

Great snowmen! And your grandson is a real cutiepie! You know, he reminds me of that little boy that starred on Slingblade... I bet he's just as polite too :)
