Come sit awhile!

Mr. kenju's massage appointment on Thursday afforded me the opportunity to get relaxed as well. The new (to us) massage therapist, who utilizes hot stones and trigger-point therapy to loosen tight muscles, has a massage chair in her waiting room.

After sitting there and trying all the permutations (I really put it through its paces) for 45 minutes, I was jelly-legged and 99 and 44/100ths % asleep when mr. kenju and the therapist emerged from the treatment room. It is one of those chairs that massages your lower legs as well as your back and neck.

"I want one!!"

In fact, I want two; one in the den and one in my office! What do you think my chances are to get them, if I ask Santa reaaaaaal nice next December? Maybe if I ask for two I could get one, but then Mr. kenju and I would fight over it all the time!

Another good thing in her office was a CD of water falling and birds singing. It is very relaxing, but after 45 minutes of it, I did wish I could turn it off. The chair and the CD made up for the fact that the waiting room/office is disorganized, to say the least. Even the shelves in the glass front towel cabinet were messy! Ordinarily that would make me run from the room. I am a bit compulsive in my need to straighten things, but I restrained myself. The chair and the soothing sounds served to make the messiness bearable. I can't wait to go back!

I wonder if these are the same as the massage chairs they have in the malls? Have you seen those?

Maybe next time you can tidy up a bit first, then treat yourself to the massage chair! :-)

Yes, I want that chair. I guess I'll have to go to your doctor. However, if I get there and you are in the chair, I'm gonna have to fight you for it!

The messiness would worry me too - especially a hands-on therapist. The chair sounds divine. You definitely deserve one.

I'm getting relaxed just thinking about that chair. I always pass massage chairs in the airport, but so far have been too cheap to cough up the dollar...maybe next time.

My daughter gave me a massage gift certificate for Xmas, and now I'm anxious to try it out.

The THings always want to sit in those massage chairs at at the mall, and goodness knows I LOVE the massge chairs at the pedicure place, so I'm sure I'd want the super-duper version that you experienced too.

Good luck on getting one!

I SO want that chair!! Especially since I'm sitting in an old rickety computer chair that threatens to break into dusty pieces at any moment.

Curious that a massage waiting room would be messy...you would think being "orderly" and "tidy" would be a priority.

But the chair would make me SO not care.

I've sat in those at the mall at Brookstone's and only get about five minutes before my clan is out of site and I must go find them. Forty-five minutes must be heavenly!

Michele sent me this time.

Pretty slick looking chair...maybe MediCare would pay for mr. kenju's and you could get one for yourself...otherwise just get them. You deserve one.
