a nicer place to work? This is the ballroom in the Governor's Mansion. They put canvas tarps on the floors and set up tables and wheel in great big trash cans for us. In one corner, there's a table with coffee, both decaf and high-test, fresh sweet tea and fresh lemonade that is the best I've ever had. The table is also laden with homemade cookies (usually 4 varieties) and homebaked muffins or Danish. Do you see why I miss the place? This pic was taken before we actually started decorating. Shortly after this, the place filled up with all sorts of stuff, including pine, cedar, magnolia, eleagnes, etc., and boxes of ornaments and ribbons.
Below is a link to a 14 minute taping of our Governor's wife, Mary Easley, showing off the Mansion Christmas decor to a local TV reporter. I thought some of you might enjoy it, even though 14 minutes is a generous chunk of time. But if you don't want to see it, it won't bother me. LOL

Beautifu! How nice that you get to see your work praised and admired.
Cool place to visit! Hum, it makes my office look like garbage, hehehehe
The video was great. Am so impressed not only in the beauty but that it is done with your local shrubbery. Also that they used things from all around the state and from different artists in the state. A wonderful tribute and well thought out.
That is some office. Oh, and now I want sweet tea! :-)
Thanks for the link. Wonderful.
I admire anyone who can wear a sleeveless dress.
I'll look for that show on PBS on the 29th.
I can't watch the video because of my bleep bleep computer connection. I do love seeing the mansion and can only imagine sitting in there daydreaming and enjoying the refreshments. I'm afraid you wouldn't get much work out of me.
quite impressive, judy! i can see from the earlier photos that you guys really worked hard.... it's lovely!
What a wonderful video. I enjoyed it very much.
You should be very proud of your lovely and appreciative First Lady, Mary Easley.
She certainly seemed to love all the work you did to make the mansion so beautiful....
I could work there....even with tarps on the floor....It would be tough tho....
Wow. The video was great and I kept pointing at the screen knowing that you did the things they were talking about. AWESOME!
"eleanges?"
Every once in a while you manage to make me feel like I landed on the wrong planet... LOL!
He is adorable!!
And your work is fabulous, as it always is. Someday when I find that hidden Picasso behind the garage sale picture, you can come and decorate our house! I am still going through our Christmas boxes!!!
