Meet the Blogger! and More.....

This is Beverly and me, taken yesterday afternoon in my living room! Bev was on her way back home after spending a month with her son, daughter-in-law and her luscious granddaughter Ella, and she stopped to have lunch with me and meet mr. kenju. I became acquainted with Bev last spring, when I drove to a point just off Route 95 in Smithfield, NC, to meet her for lunch.

We had a delightful visit (at least, I did). I just got an email stating that she had gotten home safely and I know we are both grateful for that.

This quote was lifted from my daily calendar today:

"Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: They are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom."
Marcel Proust

Any chance you ate barbecue?

Visiting you from the coast to wish you a happy weekend!

I really want to meet cs who lives about 50 miles away...I bet it makes the blog more meaningful.

Surcie, No, we didn't eat barbecue either time. I served home-made chicken salad, fruit salad and home-made veggie soup, with ice cream later.

Michele sent me over this time, Judy. Hi!!!

You're way ahead of me on the meeting fellow bloggers, game. I think I've only met one so far. Unless you count that Science Blogging conference I went to, but I didn't know any of them from their blogs so I don't count that.

One of these days I'll go to that Friday Lunch that y'all occasionally have. Bye!

Hi Judy,

Your luncheon menu is positively mouth watering.......hmmmmm

I also love Marcel Proust; My favorite line?

"There are three ingredients in the good life: Learning, Earning and yearning."

Hi Judy, I haven't met any of my fellow bloggers yet--except Ginny. But my frined Nancy who I just wrote about forwarded my blog to her brothers and sisters--and after 60 years or so I'm not in touch with all of them. Its great fun!

Bud again. I can't type--meant to say that I am now in touch with all of them.

Oh what a treat. Lucky both of you and you look as elegant as I need to look tomorrow for MTL's BIG birthday lunch. Not as easy as it sounds since I damaged my toes on the last big walk. I hope it wasn't too much excitement for Mr Kenju. Michele says hi!

How nice to get to meet one another in person.

Gosh it seems like eons ago when you and I made noises about meeting in Battery Park, doesn't it?

You look so pretty! (and tell Beverly that Ella is a beautiful name - it was my mom's)

How wonderful Judy...! So now you have seen her twice! YEY!!! That is such a great thing, isn't it? Glad you had such a terrific time!

It occurred to me Judy, if you have the Cable, with "on demand" you can see MAD MEN anytime you want....! There are so very many more options these days, aren't there? I did look up wgwn it would be on again and it was early EARLY Friday A.M. like, 1:30 am....! By the tike I saw that it was waaaay past that time in your neck of the woods....And it certainly isn't the most convenient time in the world....LOL!

I LOVE how you've connected through the blogworld, Judy. It inspires me to believe that one day I will FLY over to the UK to meet a couple of bloggie friends face to face!! And who knows?? Maybe one day we will meet somewhere on I-95.

Now I know what you both look like. I read both of your blogs. isn't it strange that even though we never meet, I feel like I know ya'll and are my new friends.
