The Jim Valvano Gala in Pinehurst

The centerpieces on the dining tables at the Saturday evening gala and auction. There were sixty-five tables!

This large arrangement (about 9 feet tall) was in a stairwell that attendees had to go down to access the ballroom.

The main room.

There were 5-6 of these on columns at the entrance. This event is always done by my boss, Mel Day of Dogwood Tree Florals. I am lucky enough to be in the team of designers who work on it. I was told they made a record amount of money for cancer research this year.

I really dig the blue and green lashup. Naturally, I don't know the names of the flowers, but they's purty.

Hiya, I was sent by Michele. I feel like I need an antihistimine just looking at those pictures. Beautiful! I love the greenery too. :) I'm so glad there are people who do fundraisers for cancer research--I feel that we're on the verge of all sorts of cures, if only the money could come through.
