Isn't he cute? He is always smiling like that, and his attitude is catching!
But we all want to know why, oh why does he get cornflakes every night for dinner - along with his regular meal? We laugh about it every afternoon, and make bets on whether or not he will get them again. He says that when he goes home, he is going to stack the packages of cornflakes on his tray table, pyramid style. Either that, or he will pay his bill with cornflakes.......LOL
P.S. I didn't ask his permission to post this photo, so shhhhhh....don't tell him, okay?

Yes he is cute and the widows in my Saturday morning group willwant to know if he is married. I know at least one who would be willing to help him eat those cornflakes. LOL
Sept 13th is not that far away. I can say that only because I am not the one in the hospital. I remember how long those days can be when you are wanting more than anything to be home.
Catching up. Judy, your flower arrangements are always so beautifully done and in breathtaking colors. You are an artist. Thelast of the old time gas stations in Sandpoint was torn down last summer....sad to see it go. There is one left out here in our valley at the Pack River General Store/Showers and Laundramat. Pumps one grade of gas. Where does Mr Kenju's roommate live? Maybe they could continue to see each other after discharge. Would give you a few moments alone.
Corn Flakes - the nectar of the soul.
He sure is one happy looking dude, Judy! (lol)...My question is: Does he eat the box of cornflakes every night? Or sometime during the night? Or is he collecting them...? Funny.
Maria: he has been married for 52 years, and he is totally devoted to his lovely wife. They are so sweet together.
Rosemary: he lives nearby, so we will see them again.
Naomi: he puts them in his closet every night.
Hello Judy,
You are really starting to cheer up now. Thank God. You had a tough row to hoe and you are getting through it in fine fashion. Good for you.......
I know I have told you of the various and sundry jobs my husband has had in over 50 years in construction(remember the nuns?).
One of his bigger jobs was building a giant plant in the middle of Lancaster County, Pa for, Can you guess who?....
Kellogg's Corn Flakes
Oh, you are such the blogger! I know because I am one too. Everything is fodder for the blogger and everything looks better blogged.
He is cute! I love a sweet smile.
We used to offer cornflakes instead of chips for the kids. Now they know better, lol!
He sure looks like a nice fellow. He just needs souvenirs from the hospital.
My thing is Special K with bananas. Not every night, but often.
LOL
He's adorable. And how cute he is with his cornflakes. I'm one to eat cereal for dinner, so I can relate!
LOL corn flakes are good stuf!
I can see why he and Mr. Kenju would be friends. It's wonderful that he has had this positive time with a roommate.
Sarah called me yesterday and told me that the surgeon had talked to the oncologist for Tucker, and there is really nothing to do for him. She said that the tumor is growing day by day, and she is just so heartbroken.
How lucky for the both of you, to have a cheerful roomate. It works both ways. I'm sure you cheered him up too.
Great that he lives near by.
I used to save every cracker i could get my hands on when I was in the hospital. Friends brought me all kinds of goodies too.
It was insurance, just in case the meal wasn't good or I got hunger during the night.
There was a time my meal just didn't show up - they forgot to deliver it to me. I buzzed the desk, no response so I went out into the hall, found a meal sitting unattended and just TOOK IT!!
That's one smart roommate!! He knows what he's doing!!
He has a friendly smile! And he looks very nice, too!
cornflakes?
Does he tell bad jokes that are so old they're dried up?
Mr. Kenju was lucky to have a nice roommate. I think he'll like to know that his picture is here. :-)
I'm glad your husband has such a nice room-mate...it can make all the difference in his stay at the hospital. When do you expect him to be released? (your husband, that is, not his room-mate.)
Cornflakes are okay -- but shredded wheat for fiber would be better. Trust me.
Hi Judy.....hope your energy and drive remains high.
Am just catching up with your posts.....
take care.
He does have a very friendly smile!
Corn Flakes taste good, but I don't think I'd want them along with dinner every night.
Nice face. Perhaps he's collecting the little plastic toys?
i dig the cornflake dude.
I think Mr. Kenju should collect rice krispies and challenge him to a duel
