Are You Having Trouble With It Too?

Update: It still won't work. I cleared the cache and gmail won't load now either. For the time being, if you want to send me an email, please use this address:

tickletwo@hotmail.com

Thanks!

I have not been able to access my gmail for about three days now. Whenever I click on it in my favorites list, the page goes nuts and the bar along the bottom of the screen (where it normally says "done" when the page is loaded) flashes back and forth between being blank and giving the url for google mail.

Is anyone else having that same problem? Or should I panic?

I just logged in to my gmail account with no problem. Have you run a virus scan?

No, I will do that right now! Thanks, Michelle!

I don't know if you should panic, but like Michelle I haven't had any problems with gmail today.

Good luck!

Panic. It's the only sensible thing to do.

"In big letters on the front cover were the helpful words 'don't panic'"

Have you tried to type into the address bar "http://mail.google.com/mail"
and then hit enter: if that doesn't work, and you can remember your password/login id, then you could try getting internet explorer to forget your settings for that web site (I use firefox, so I don't know where that would be) and try logging onto google and clicking on the mail link and logging in from scratch. It could be that IE has corrupted some files somehow.

You could also consider switching to firefox!

Hope some of this helps,
N.

I haven't had any problems either. I have it in my toolbar, and I click on it there and it comes right up.

I'm panicking because I don't know what G mail is. I have e-mail. Sorry but - I'm stupid.

I haven't noticed any problem so far Judy. Try using Firefox as a browser...I do for a couple of things.

My g-mail is working fine as well.

FYI - I use Firefox. Clearing your personal data(cookies, cache, etc) might help.

If you don't have an adblocker, consider getting one. Sometimes pages load really slowly because they're trying to access "live" ads that you system doesn't like or can't play. There are free adblockers out there you can download. Might help.

Thank you, Pi, for saying exactly what I was thinking. What is Gmail? I have no idea what y'all are talking about.

Have you rebooted? That sometimes helps.

For those who asked, gmail is Google's email program. Like Yahoo...only Google.

Give a try to firefox. I haven't had more than a two minute problem getting to gmail, about a year ago. It works like a breeze. It has to be your browser! How unnerving though!

Hey Judy.... gmail can be very funky at times, and there is virtually NO tech support. The best they can do is send you to their user forums where thankfully there are some knowledgeable people.

Last year, gmail was DOWN for three days and when people complained, Google pointed out that gmail is still BETA, and therefore shouldn't be your primary email.

Yeah right.

Hope you resolved this ok!
