The Wild Parrots + Anniversary Tidings

Edit below!
I have another movie recommendation. Actually it is a documentary, and from the first moments, I was spellbound. "The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill" is really wonderful!

Read about it here:

Do yourself a favor and rent it! (I may be the only person around who hadn't seen it yet).

Wish mr. kenju and me a happy anniversary! We're like the lovebirds up above...LOL. It was July 2, 1964 that the deed was done! You can read all about it here:

Happy Anniversary to you both. Your love story is the stuff true love stories are made of, and the best part is that you are still living your "happily ever after."

Enjoy your very special day!

Love and hugs....

I laughed at the girls hitting on your brand new husband, on your honeymoon no less! I was very worried that we'd run out of things to talk about in a few months, and we're heading towards anniversary #38. Congratulations!!

Happy Anniversary to you and mr kenju!!!!! I was missing a picture but the older post explained why... I don't think I have ever "known" a bride who went to work on her wedding day!!!
Here's to you both and to many, many more anniversaries together. Cheers! Have a wonderful day!

Happy Anniversary to you both!

Have seen the documentary about the parrots of Telegraph Hill. It is very good.

But...."Paulie" remains my all-time favorite parrot movie!

Here's wishing you both a very happy anniversary! You were married not quite a year after I was.

I haven't seen the parrot film, so thanks for the reminder. I'll put it on my list. We did have real life wild parrots close around my house last year about which I wrote somewhere in my archives.

Happy Anniversary! My mom worked half a day on her wedding day too! LOL.

The Evil Twin said he saw part of the parrot movie on TV, but I didn't. Will have to put it on Netflix.... :-)

Happy anniversary, Judy. It's a special marriage that makes it as long as yours has these days, and that's no small thing.

And I'll have to check out the movie. It sounds so cool!

I haven't seen the movie, but I used to work very near Telegraph Hill. Fun to watch the tourists looking up with their mouths open, if ya know whut I mean.

Me again...I just noticed that you updated with a picture. What a beautiful bride you were, although I suspected that.

Again, happy anniversary to you both.

Congrats on living with the same person for so many years without killing him! My grandparents were married 49 years when my grandma died. She always said she didn't know how she'd put up with him so long. ;P

Any woman who works on her wedding day deserves a medal! Happy anniversary to you both, and may the best of your yesterdays be the worst of your tomorrows. ;)

Happy Anniversary to you both! May you have many more years together!I'm still waiting for my "happily ever after" but doubt it will last as long as yours! lol

And omigod -- I think I wore the same dress for my high school graduation in 1965! lol My mom made it for me but mine was white pique rather than lace.

Funny coincidence: when my daughter was stationed at Norfolk, she lived in barracks near the Catholic chapel & laughed that she had no excuse for missing Mass.
