Consider the lilies.....

The promise of spring......

fulfilled in summer.

This is what greeted me as we arrived home from the beach vacation. A proper welcome, I'd say!

Thanks to everyone who wished us a happy anniversary. We had a quiet one; opting to go out to a nice dinner next weekend, after my wedding is delivered. There were no presents, only cards. We are well beyond the stage of giving each other anything, as the last thing we need is something to sit around here and gather dust. If we do gift each other, it is usually in the form of books or gift cards for spa treatments.

Mr. kenju did do a very nice thing, however. I came downstairs to a "big" breakfast all laid out for me, which he had gone out and purchased before I awoke. He made coffee, set the table and kept it all at the proper temperature until I got to the kitchen. He deserves a nice thank you, doesn't he?
Have a wonderful Fourth of July, wherever you are!

I'd say he deserves more than a thank you...a big kiss from you might be a good start. Funny....I clicked on my pictures and it took me to your blog! Heaven only knows what blogger is doing.

Hello, I am a newish blogger who has been looking for others of my own "older generation." I am so happy to have found you, and will enjoy looking in now and then. Thanks for being there!

The lilies look as if they would have a gorgeous perfume. A belated Happy Anniversary and have a lovely meal. Sounds like we are both very lucky with our spouses (or spice?)

Happy Anniversary! Only seven more until the really big one! My folks celebrated theirs this year at a free barbeque at church... usually they go out to a nice restaurant but it was only two days before her knee replacement, so the free food seemed good. This was year 56.

Oh, and it was a very, VERY nice and loving thing that Mr. Kenju did... how sweet!

Our anniversary is on jan 2nd, for the past 14 years our present policy is to consider the 2-week xmas ski vacation as our xmas AND anniversary present, I don't need any expensive jewelry to add to our insurance, lol!

Your lilies are superb!!!
