Why it is Good to Be an Actress...

named Sarah Jessica Parker. You get to be married to a nice guy and have great kids and then you get to kiss Matthew McConnaughey, plus go sailing and play paint ball! I watched this DVD last night - alone - because mr. kenju "doesn't DO chick flicks"....LOL. Fine by me.....I get to control the remote AND eat all the popcorn.

This is an amusing romantic comedy, which also features Kathy Bates and Terry Bradshaw as Tripp's parents, who want him to move out of their home, at long last. I enjoyed it, so maybe you will too. It is PG-13, for the allusions to sex and one use of the F-word. Read about the movie here:

I'd like to see that, too. In fact, we are finally going to enter the real world and join Netflix! I expect to put fun things like this on my list.

Michele sent me; have a great Sunday!

I laughed and laughed at Kathy Bates and Terry Bradshaw. Whenever he is on Jay Leno, he is so funny.

Hi Judy, a funny movie I wouldn't really class as a chick flick.
Re the rain, I remember you posting about the rain in Sydney when your daughter was there, we didn't get that in Queensland it's 700 miles from Sydney to Brisbane and the climate can be quite different, it is looking a lot more promising now though!!!!

I love my Netflix! My spouse does not like movies and only wants to watch Discovery, History and Travel channels. Netflix lets me catch up with the movie world and I get to eat all the popcorn too!

But actresses have hard things to deal with also, i just can't think of them now...

I haven't see that movie, but maybe I'll check it out. I love chick flix, and my hubby wouldn't watch it either.

HUbby and I watched that, it was funny enough for him that it wasn't a "total chick flick". You're right, SJP is a lucky woman!

Here from Michele's. I liked this movie as well. Couldn't imagine my children still living at home at that age, but it makes for a funny movie.

I don't think they've shown it in France, or maybe I didn't notice. I'll put it on my dvd rental list ;)

I would so LOVE to be SKP - to be abel to kiss both Matthew Broderick AND McConahey (I didn't spell that right, I'm sure) would be heavenly.

Haven't watched too many movies since gettign into the apartment - but this one sounds right up my aley for a good evening's entertainment.

I have seen this film, too..I love Sarah Jessica and the other actors were very good, too...But...well, it just missed the mark somehow, for me...Not that it was bad...I just wish it had been BETTER! (lol)...

Control of the popcorn is a good thing. Your flowers are beautiful!- You know I am a sucker for those fragrant lilies with blue accents- those were the colors of my wedding- a mere 4 years ago! That cake looks good too. I still miss the other half of my cupcake.

Judy,

I guess that's what makes my marriage so terrific: Carol hates shopping and loves to play golf, and I like "chick flicks." We both thought "Failure to Launch" was GREAT!
