We interrupt our beach travelogue to bring you a late-breaking movie review!

We watched "Man of the Year" with Robin Williams last night and it was better than either of us expected. Robin plays Tom Dobbs, a comedian who gets the idea to run for U.S. President from his fans. Laura Linney plays an employee of a software company that has been hired to provide voting machines for the election. Suffice it to say that there is a computer glitch which makes for interesting voting and results in country-wide mayhem. The script is shot through with many true statements about our current government and the practice of politics. This one is worth renting, even though my daughter said it was panned by critics.

I *loved* that movie, and I was half-asleep when I watched it! Can only imagine how much funnier it would have been had I been awake through the whole middle part. Then again, I love Robin Williams, anyway!

Saw it and liked it. Unlike Clinton, Dobbs inhaled.

That was a funny movie. One of my favorite lines went something like "I did not have sex with that woman...but I wanted to."

We really enjoyed it also, didn't expect if to be that good but being Robin Williams who I adore, we rented it anyway and both loved it. Great movie.

A movie that deals with glitches in voting machines? Now that I''ll have to see.

Don't get me started on the voting machines.

I don't pay attention to what critics say. Most of the time, I don't agree with them.
On my viewing list it goes! Plus I like Robin Williams
