Little Angels on the Beach

I don't know these children. They were being photographed near our condo. I just had to try and get a good pic of them. It was not easy, because there were trash cans, stacks of chairs, umbrellas and people between us, and I was trying to do it surreptitiously. I thought it best not to have their mother ask me why I was photographing her children.

They had been on the beach for about ten minutes when a woman walked by with the two white dogs on leads. I don't think it was planned, but wasn't that a wonderful photo opportunity? Too bad I couldn't get a clear shot of the girls and the dogs together. But, I wanted you to see them anyway.

I love the top photo - a long lens helps, for taking photos without being noticed, or lots of zoom on a digital camera :) I can't help wondering though, what sort of a person dresses their girls in white? Michele sent me

I love the paleness of everything but Judy we have gone one step further and one daren't photograph childrne one doesn't know. People have even been questioned for snapping their own family in the bath. The world has lost any innocence and is slwoly going mad!

This is a great beach shot -- good of you to note it.

You have guts, Judy: Shooting strangers' kids surreptitiously takes backbone that I don't think I have.

Never mind that you had to work through the clutter: that first image is a stunner. In one frame, it tells the story of childhood.

I'm thrilled that you stepped out and did this: they're wonderful. I think if the mother knew you were shooting, she'd be proud to have these images now.

Michele would agree.

Hi Judy ~~ Great post of those two lovely little girls, and the
little dogs. Well done on capturing their angelic smiles. Thank you for your comments, I also like Kahlil Gibran's quotes. I hope you and your husband are keeping well Judy.
Another quote about working -"choose
somethimg you love to do, and you'll never work a day of your life. Not sure who wrote that one.Take care, Love, Merle.

I think the mom would LOVE to have a copy of these picks. They are wonderful! I think I'll start taking my camera with me everywhere.

You are so lucky! I'd love to see Dancing with the Stars! Do they let you take pictures? Where are you seeing them? Let me know how it was.

I tried to see SYTYCD on tour last year but the tickets went sky high in about 5 minutes after going on sale. They were at DAR Constitution Hall in DC. I went there for a graduation this year and found out that there is not a bad seat in the house! I'm looking forward to this seasons tour!!

I'm not going to think about the fact that girls might be walking around in bikinis sucking their stomachs in in ten years.

Very nice photo.
