More Art...An Astute Portrait ~ and Quotes

This is a portrait of "Papa kenju", by the young artist I featured earlier this week ~ my granddaughter. Mr. kenju maintains it doesn't resemble him that much, but I can say without reservation that it does.....(except there isn't really that much room between his nose and mouth, he doesn't have a mustache and he has better hair....lol!!)

Underground nuclear testing, defoliation of the rain forests, toxic waste... Let's put it this way: if the world were a big apartment, we wouldn't get our deposit back.

Whatever people in general do not understand, they are always prepared to dislike; the incomprehensible is always the obnoxious.

Such a cute drawing! What a talent, your granddaughter. And those quotes are great, especially the last one. So true.

I knew right away it was Papa Kenju from his photo in New York.

Nice, butg I rather prefer Rick's red tomatoes and fish! The one that belongs in your kitchen...or mine.

PS I think it looks like him. I remember what he looks like from the award post.

great drawing!!

AND I love that quote.....the incomprehensible is always obnoxious......right on. It completely explains the rude and wounded individuals in our lives that we can't quite figure out. they are obnoxious.....and we can comprehend their behaviours...

Ok, blogger just ate my comment on how I like the drawing of Mr. Kenju and how I wonder if maybe your granddaughter doesn't think he needs a mustache. Michele sent me today to say hi, but it's always good to stop by and catch up.
