I Never Promised You a Rose Garden ~ LOL

So, you're getting mostly tulips, azaleas and dogwoods! In the top photo, I was standing on my neighbor's porch looking across the cul-de-sac to my yard. Aren't I lucky to live next door to such pretty flowers?! My neighbor was having a party for the women who live around here, to show them her flowers, so that's why there were so many cars in the street.
They have both red and yellow tulips, but for some reason, I snapped pics of the red.

This pink dogwood stands right off their porch. It is wonderful to stand under it and shoot up into the tree. I am not a fan of the color pink, but in a dogwood it is wonderful!
More pink, tempered with white and buttercream tulips. These raised beds will hold tomatoes in a few months. Maybe if I'm good, they'll share!
This water garden is hidden from the house and the rest of the area; you can barely see it until you walk behind some taller beds of azalea. It's such a peaceful spot. They also have a gazebo, which is a good spot to sit and read, but I never see anyone in it. Maybe I'll ask to borrow it this summer.
Clicking to enlarge is a really good idea!

Beautiful flowers...Of course now I'll have that old Lynn Anderson tune stuck in my head, but that's not such a bad thing.

Happy Easter...

Yes, these are gorgeous photos, Kenju. You are indeed fortunate to live next door to a yard like this and I'd heartily encourage you to ask to use the gazebo, the pond and waterfall, and ask if you can cut some of the flowers for the house. That's what neighbors are for, yes? Hope you had a happy Easter.

I just caught up on all your posts. I was riding trains in NJ into NYC about the same time you were! The flowers next door are awesome. You get to enjoy them while they do the gardening.

Those are really nice. Wilmington is so beautiful this time of year, and I'm going to take a little picture-taking stroll by the lake once it warms up today.

I would love to have a pretty yard like that but I am far too lazy.

I just want our snow to melt.
I hope your Easter was wonderful!

I caught up on your previous posts. Thanks for the grow the flower link. I enjoyed the things made out of fruits and vegies. Your Easter cartoons were great.

How lovely....looks like a TV neighborhood...this can't be real stuff. What kind of digital camera do you have? Mine is 4 years old and takes really grainy pics no matter what I do. I want a new one.

BEEEE UUUUUU TEEEEEE FULLLL!

I am feeling so jealous! Our winter is just not over yet. We have new snow on the ground and the wind is brisk. Just last weekend I spotted some crocus growing.....but NOW?

Hopefully things will start blooming soon......in the meantime.....I will live vicariously through your beautiful photos.

Wow. Pretty pretty yard. I could never have the patience (nor the moolah) to put my yard into such classy shape. And yes... you're lucky to live so close to such beautiful "park-like" yard!
