Edited below!! Someone sent these to me via email. They are supposedly giant crystals found in a cave in Mexico. I smell a hoax, folks!
I checked Snopes.com and they don't have anything about it yet. The cave was in Manzanilla, I think. Click to enlarge! Don't you think they look like they've been faked?
CHECK IT OUT!! Thanks to a nice person (also named Judy) we see the crystal cave IS real!

I think that's the set from Superman IV.
Sure look like parts of the set for a Superman movie!
I found this on BBC.

Who knows? Could be real.
Looks like Photoshop Judy! :)
Julia, the link no longer works. I didn' see that Superman movie, so maybe you guys are right.
A bit bright for a cave isn't it? The lights would have to be HUGE. I'd vote for faux!
It doesn't seem real... but then again, who knows???
A big HI from Spain :)
We spent a week at Las Hadas Resort in Manzilla last year and there was never a mention of these caves by our tour guide and he was very talkative about all the local attractions.
Must be someplace else. . . anyway, the photos are great.
If this is real, it's just amazing!
How can we know if it is real or fake?
Yikes...it looks like something out of an old Sci-Fi horror movie. Interesting....
yes, yes. someone sent me a link and told me to write about these crystals and i never did. Cheers for doing a bang up job. They really are other-worldly.
These are beautiful. I'm glad they are real :) nature is amazing!
I would have said they had been doctored. They are incredible and look very dangerous!
We- dare I say it - are having incredibly fine, sunny weather. Not crowing or anything:)
Judy,
Hoax,

I smell a
Poet!
These pictures are fantastic and the Crystals are AWESOME!

It does look like a scene from Krypton.....
:)
Wow! I've never seen anything like these before. Nature is amazing, isn't it?
Nothing in this world would suprise me. It reminds me of the old movie "Journey to the Center of the Earth," which had a big affect on me when I was a girl.
I remembered that the sand castle show I waw was in Ocean City Maryland!
Looks mightly dangerous to me, yet amazing.
isn't that just about the coolest thing you have ever seen!
That is amazing! And very appropriate for Earth Day on April 22nd, new discoveries, our mother Earth is just amazing!!!
Wow! Those crystals look mighty sharp and dangerous. If that guy trips, he might be impaled!
They are beautiful.
You're right, Judy. Those pictures of crystals are so huge they're hard to believe--but if you're not going to trust National Geographic, who can you trust?! LOL They sure are amazing.
Wow... what a great photo op. :)
Love the crystals.
