Are These for Real? Naaaah, Can't Be! Can They?

Edited below!!

Someone sent these to me via email. They are supposedly giant crystals found in a cave in Mexico. I smell a hoax, folks!
I checked Snopes.com and they don't have anything about it yet. The cave was in Manzanilla, I think. Click to enlarge! Don't you think they look like they've been faked?
CHECK IT OUT!! Thanks to a nice person (also named Judy) we see the crystal cave IS real!

I think that's the set from Superman IV.

A bit bright for a cave isn't it? The lights would have to be HUGE. I'd vote for faux!

It doesn't seem real... but then again, who knows???
A big HI from Spain :)

We spent a week at Las Hadas Resort in Manzilla last year and there was never a mention of these caves by our tour guide and he was very talkative about all the local attractions.

Must be someplace else. . . anyway, the photos are great.

If this is real, it's just amazing!
How can we know if it is real or fake?

Yikes...it looks like something out of an old Sci-Fi horror movie. Interesting....

I would have said they had been doctored. They are incredible and look very dangerous!
We- dare I say it - are having incredibly fine, sunny weather. Not crowing or anything:)

Nothing in this world would suprise me. It reminds me of the old movie "Journey to the Center of the Earth," which had a big affect on me when I was a girl.

I remembered that the sand castle show I waw was in Ocean City Maryland!

You're right, Judy. Those pictures of crystals are so huge they're hard to believe--but if you're not going to trust National Geographic, who can you trust?! LOL They sure are amazing.
