Guess Who Came to Visit?

Mr. kenju saw him first; he hopped all over the deck this morning, even coming up to the higher level next to the house. He was so lucky that our cats weren't outside! The photo is blurry, I know; I was shooting through 2 glass doors. I was afraid to open the door and spook him. After he saw the flash, he sprinted off the back side of the deck to the woods. I hope he comes back again someday; maybe after we open the pool and get ready for summer. He could tell we aren't yet expecting visitors!

Judy,
You must know he hopped off to collect colored eggs for Easter Egg Hunts next month.

Beautiful little guy. I think he looks more like a hare than a rabbit and very much like the ones we have here.

Rabbit, rabbit! Good luck for you!
Hey, I didn't know you have a pool- or, I guess it never registered. Open it up- I'll be right over. Do you make a good mint julip?

That is wonderful!
He is so cute. You will have to come up with a name for him if he is going to be regular visitor.

I agree about Robin and George, none of the funny would be lost if they did away with the cursing. People are laughing more at the stuff when they are not. I especially noticed it at the end of the golf one. He just could have left that last part out and people would have enjoyed it more.
Thanks for the visit.

He is a couple of weeks early.
They seem to run rampant around here in the late spring and summer, usually out at night and dawn, a lot like the deer actually.

What a cute little guy. I've got several of his relatives hanging out in my yard too. They're all going to be pretty busy in about a week....rest well little bunnies.

Oooh, I wish I could have one as a pet. They're SO cute!

Then again, I'm not sure how the dog would handle his (her?) arrival. Not sure he'd be able to make friends just yet. It's a puppy thing.

Great shot! We never seem to get any rabbits in our yard. Squirrels, raccoons, a possum, and even a couple of coyotes (yikes, hide the cats!) but no sweet brown rabbits.

A bunny! I love spotting wild rabbits. It should be considered good luck. Esp. for the rabbit! lol

You mentioned the price on that house surprising you... in LA county, you can't touch a 2 bed/2 bath house for LESS than $550,000. That $750k+ house is in a beautiful, quiet mountain neighborhood.

i love the bunnies that come to my backyard - so I put alfalfa pellets out for them - i think its almost time for the new ones to be arriving, spring is so exciting.

Here is the difference between hare and rabbit.
1. Any rodentlike mammal of the genus Lepus, of the family Leporidae, having long ears, a divided upper lip, and long hind limbs adapted for leaping.
2. any of the larger species of this genus, as distinguished from certain of the smaller ones known as rabbits.
So get a close look at the upper lip of that little guy and we will know for certain. Our desert is full of hares. They usually appear leaner, stronger, and larger than rabbits. Out here they need that extra speed to outdo the wiley coyotes.

If he shows up again, the cats will have a good time chasing after him.
I sure hope he's fast!!

Oh How Sweet Judy...Just in time for Easter, too! He is a cutie, isn't he....!
I notice that there are lots and lots of little creatures around my hill...Squirrels, and So many Morning Doves....(Maybe that's why the Bobcat was around)---More than usual, I would say....Maybe they are all ready for Spring, too, like your dear Rabbitt! I hope he comes back to visit you, too!
