Coming to You from........

beautiful downtown West Orange, NJ, in the best Marriott Residence Inn I have ever seen. We have been in NYC area for 2 days now, and will leave tomorrow morning for DC. We were going to stop in Philadelphia and see the King Tut Exhibit at the art museum, but we can't get tickets (they are sold out at the times we can go). I was going to call Star and try to get together, but I won't be able to do that now, and I am really sorry!

We went to see a show at the Marriott Marquis Theater - "The Drowsy Chaperone". It won the Tony Award for Best Musical this year. I enjoyed it very much! I'll tell you about it when I get back home. I am typing this on my daughter's laptop, and since I am unfamiliar with it, trying to figure out the mouse, etc. is about to drive me crazy! I'll post again in a few days.

Don't forget to see the Cherry Blossoms here in DC...they should be just about perfect when you arrive.

Enjoy the rest of your trip.
I've been to DC a few times, and I sure love visiting there. Too bad you missed the King Tut exhibit, but I'm glad you got to see the musical.
I was in Boston this past week, so both of us have been out of state lately.
I'll be back by to read more about your trip.
Hopefully you'll have some photos to share.

Sounds like a wonderful get away...is the weather cooperating? I usually don't care what the weather does as long as we are on the road and having fun. Too bad about TUT, but am eager to hear about the play....drive carefully.

You have to buy tickets for a museum visit? We never have to do that in New Zealand - had to queue a bit for a da Vinci exhibition once, but I've never had to book in advance.
On the other hand we probably don't get so many chances at the big exhibitions.
Michele sent me to say enjoy the rest of the trip.

Sounds like a great adventure has begun. When I feel impatient, deep breathes help. Don't think you will really need to do that though. I am looking forward to photos and stories of your trip.

You answered the question I had. I am really tired but need to get a post up about Scarlett... but she kept me up all night and it may not happen.

Lucky you, getting to see a Broadway show! Thanks for stopping by to see me. I have no idea how we're going to raise all that $$ in 3 weeks but we're not going down without a fight - too many lives at stake!

"The Drowsy Chaperone" was here last year...before their NY run...I had tickets but unfortuneately could nbot go myself--(Health stuff), so I gave them away...And the people said it was a lot of fun! I think David Hyde Pierce is such an incredibly talented man....He can do anything!
Am anxious to hear what you thought Judy...! Enjoy your time in DC.

Hi Judy: I am trying to get caught up on my favorite blogs and I saw you mention West Orange, NJ.
Back in 1950 I spent two years at Upsala College in East Orange, NJ. It has since closed but those were fun years and the "Oranges" as they are called was a neat area.
