Fortunately I was inside when the rain hit. We had a little thunder and lightening but nothing too close. Poor old tree. Your tree scene looks VERY familiar....we have had whole trees and huge branches down all over town during a few of these storms. I'm surprised we have any trees standing at all. I still get a little 'ooged-out' when I hear a scary crackle of lightening. ~JoyJoy Des Jardinshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04893445642606862131noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2958679963868626698.post-18123790011523523642011-08-23T11:40:42.243-04:002011-08-23T11:40:42.243-04:00It is a good thing that the tree did not harm your...It is a good thing that the tree did not harm your house in any way....Nature can certainly have a fierce way about it---The Storm sounds Epoch!!
It is wonderful that you still have so very mamny trees surround ing you, dear Judy...It almost looks forest-like in the pictures you post....OldLady Of The Hillshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02458879772193114892noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2958679963868626698.post-21691214507899613162011-08-23T11:24:46.826-04:002011-08-23T11:24:46.826-04:00I think we had some portion of that storm here too...I think we had some portion of that storm here too, Judy.

It was so bad the other day I spent most of the day resetting clocks because every couple of hours we would have a power failure that lasted from between 10minutes to an hour.

Just long enough to knock out the electronic equipment in your house but the electric stove kept coming back so I still had to cook dinner.Nancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09426821858355153898noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2958679963868626698.post-45429751577191086992011-08-23T05:26:43.662-04:002011-08-23T05:26:43.662-04:00What happens to the dead limbs? does Mr Kenju cho...What happens to the dead limbs? does Mr Kenju chop 'em up for firewood?Pathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01529798893653033970noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2958679963868626698.post-55332580156374638842011-08-23T04:10:38.190-04:002011-08-23T04:10:38.190-04:00that sounds like a rather powerful storm...that sounds like a rather powerful storm...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2958679963868626698.post-3680907565430702802011-08-23T00:47:00.137-04:002011-08-23T00:47:00.137-04:00Want to borrow my saw?
