Oriental tradition assigns each food a 'hot' or 'cold' rating, too. I don't remember what they all are, but I do remember that all fruits are cold (as are most sweet things), hence the saying that fruit is gold in the morning, silver in the afternoon, and lead at night. (i.e. you should eat it in the morning, because cold foods should not be eaten at night.)<BR/><BR/>Another one for the list is lotus root, which looks like lungs and is supposed to be good for the lungs (according to Oriental medical thinking).
